The late Fred Willard joins the cast of Fake Radio for our second performance at the HBO Comedy Theater in Hollywood, California. It was his first of four performances with our troupe and we were incredibly fortunate to have such an iconic member of the comedy family join us.
For almost 50 years, Fred's famous character work has appeared on both small and big screens. He is, perhaps, most famous for his roles in the partially-improvised films of Rob Reiner and Christopher Guest including "This Is Spinal Tap" "Waiting for Guffman", "Best in Show" & "A Mighty Wind".
But he’s also appeared on scores of TV shows such as “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “King of the Hill”, and - of course - the shows that earned him FIVE different primetime Emmy nominations: "Everybody Loves Raymond" and “Modern Family”.
Fred was a comedy treasure who was always generous with his time and spirit as was his wife Mary. We honor them both and hope they're laughing up together in the great comedy afterlife.
Our show was recorded with three cameras in standard definition (or “SD”) and features:
"Fly Me To the Moon" sung by Amy Miller
An opening sketch by David Koff
Our feature presentation: The Screen Director’s Guild presentation of "Stagecoach"
